"I don't know," she said as Joe, the bus driver asked her what the temperature was.

Michelle was a grade 3 student who hated going to school. Normally Michelle wasn't very miserable but today school would have been canceled if it was only 2 degrees colder outside so that made Michelle angry. It was the middle of January and Michell's school has had straight full weeks of school and Michelle needed a break. On Her 20 minute Bus ride to school Michell asked Bill on the other side of the bus if he thought school would be canceled and Bill said "I thought school was cancelled for sure today."

The bus ride continued on, and when they were about 10 minutes away from their school they started to see buses going in the opposite direction and Michelle said, "Where are they going?"

Bill answered Michelle and said, "Maybe school got canceled." Michelle started to get excited and started to watch the bus driver hoping he would get a message over the CB radio telling him to turn around and take the kids home! Michelle could tell something was happening because the driver was constantly on the radio and then finally Michelle heard the bus driver say over the radio that he was going to turn around at the next corner! Michelle nearly jumped right out of her seat. Michelle said "Did you hear that Bill?" Bill said "Yuppers."
